Pegasus FAQ and Troubleshooting

Go to Appearance → Menus, select your menu, and under Menu Settings check Primary Menu, then Save Menu. Every Pegasus header layout reads from the Primary Menu location. See Menus and Social Icons.

Section titled “My social icons show up as plain links (or don’t show)”

Each social link needs a Font Awesome 4 class like fa fa-instagram in its CSS Classes field. If you don’t see that field, open Screen Options (top-right of the Menus screen) and check CSS Classes.

My logo isn’t showing; it shows the site name instead

Section titled “My logo isn’t showing; it shows the site name instead”

That’s the default when no logo is set. Upload one under Pegasus Options → Logo.

Header Three and Header Four use a sidebar mobile nav, which isn’t good for a lot of menu items. For large menus, Header One (with its MegaMenu) is the better choice. See Header Layouts.

Content is hidden behind the header at the top of a page

Section titled “Content is hidden behind the header at the top of a page”

Edit the page and, under Additional Header Options, choose No Header - Just Spacing, then adjust NoSpacer Padding (default 25px 0). See Page Options and Headers.

Background image position and mobile rendering may need developer tuning. Contact us.

The plugin for that shortcode isn’t installed or active. See Shortcodes and Components, and ask us before installing plugins.

Pegasus recommends some plugins. They can be installed from Appearance → Install Plugins. If we maintain your site, check with us first.

The theme options rely on CMB2. If the options are missing, CMB2 isn’t loading. Contact support.

Make sure the theme folder is named exactly pegasus, not pegasus-master. See Getting Started.

In Pegasus Options → General Theme Options, check WooCommerce Theme?. Shop links, the user menu, and the cart menu are controlled under E-Commerce Options.

Sticky Navigation only works with Header Two. For other layouts, try Fixed Navigation. See Header Layouts.

That’s Header Three/Four: Scroll Bkg color and Scroll Nav Item Color apply after the visitor scrolls down 200 pixels.

I picked “Large Header” but don’t see the slider shortcode field

Section titled “I picked “Large Header” but don’t see the slider shortcode field”

Save (update) the page once after choosing Large Header. The Large Header Slider Shortcode field then appears.

Look under Pegasus Plugins Suite in the admin menu. Each active plugin has a “… Usage” page.

Report it on the Submit an Issue page or as a GitHub issue.
